The proposed project will focus on continuous improvement cycles in production – based upon intelligent knowledge such as know how on best practice processes.

It will address idea management and production process improvement cycles. This is understood as work process oriented learning curve enabled through intelligent content management. Acquired knowledge should be turned into practice and applied in practice. This implies application of the acquired knowledge for and within the execution of day-to-day production processes.

The conceputal integration between the production system (and its processes) on the one hand and the training didactic, routine, and material on the other is needed.

Rationale

Preserving worker’s know how together with efficient training are critical success factors for production performance. Targeted idea management, continuous process improvement cycles, enabling best practice adoption are key issues.

Develop a solution supporting continuous adaptation of production work processes which integrates the (legacy) systems at a production plant and processes of supply chain.

Support software packages that allow the smooth linkage between production workflow and organizational learning supported by personalized and adaptive content. 

Include pedagogical, didactical concepts supporting shop floor worker. Thus, support adaptability and mass-individualization.
