Auto-adaptative and customizable software architecture for a motivational nucleus, with intellectual, sensory and fine motor function stimulation (ARMONI).
Subject:
Psychologically handicapped persons usually don’t receive enough stimulation on their daily life. The lack of stimulation diminish the maintenance and improvement of cognitive capacities and the quality of life of these persons.
The assistance sector hasn’t taken enough advantage of ICT technologies and its possibilities in order to fulfill this need of providing motivational, intellectual, sensory and fine motor function stimulation in a personalized and adaptative manner.
The objective of the project is to develop and demonstrate a software architecture suitable for integrating content, exercises and stimulus as “rewards” for the achieved progress, and a methodology to provide this elements adaptative and customizable properties.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:
The objective of the project is to develop and demonstrate software architecture suitable for integrating content, exercises and stimulus as “rewards” for the achieved progress, and a methodology to provide this elements adaptative and customizable properties.
The architecture will be designed to accomplish the following requirements:
– Integration of new activities, contents and stimulus.
– Exchange of content and stimulus amongst activities.
– Content, activity and stimulus characterisation to adapt its offer to the characteristics and evolution of the user.
– Quantitative and qualitative tracking of the user evolution based on answer/content, activities and stimulus.
– Facilitate the transparent integration amongst all activities and contents regardless of the provider.
Along with the architecture, mechanisms and rules will be provided for interest of manufacturers, developers and content providers, for seamless integration of their tools, and value adding confering these tools adaptative and customizable properties.
The result will be open robust platform with commercial quality for the provision of seamlessly integrated tools.

Description of work to be carried out by the partner(s) sought:
– PROFILE 1: Develop a new Software Architecture for cognitive and motivational development exercises, allowing seamless integration of new activities, contents and stimulus to be related within activities-exercises, including appropriated solutions to make them combine in a personalized and adaptative manner. Experience to develop complete activities-exercises to demonstrate the technology is required.
- PROFILE 2: Functions to develop and specify the System Engineering, with manufacturing functions and execution works, related with the main hardware, and especially peripheral and environments systems, elements scalable according software and accessibility hardware, specific to every content, answer, activity and stimulus.
– PROFILE 3: Interdisciplinary functions (specialist in managing team to integrate the whole of profiles) to establish and executive programs of study and final applications to the user, with content and stimulus amongst different activities.
– PROFILE 4: Fields works in Pedagogical, Psychological and Medical area, in relation to content, activity and stimulus characterisation to adapt its offer to the characteristics and evolution of the user, with specifications to necessary system auto-adaptation.
– PROFILE 5: Functions to facilitate and check Therapy Application in every step o process, with quantitative and qualitative tracking of the user evolution based on answer/content, activities and stimulus.
- PROFILE 6: Functions to facilitate and check the hardware-software accessibility, usability and transparent integration (Human Computer Interaction –HCI-), among all activities and contents with the user, that it’s necessary to care the provider.
