PROPOSAL AT A GLANCE
Proposal name:
USEP (Universal End-User Controlled Privacy)
Subject:
To build an innovative ICT infrastructure « USEP » (Universal End-User Controlled Privacy) guaranteeing users’ identity-data privacy protection via flexible control mechanisms.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:
Create a user-controlled software « USEP » addressing people-businesses-government privacy requirements in a heterogeneous environment ( web, data location, traffic location, voice, mobile, cable TV, VOD, telex…. ) so as to secure end-to-end data transmission. USEP will allow users to pre-set their own privacy protection rules prior to accessing networks and simultaneously manage and assess identity and private data risks. Based on users’ pre-set privacy rules , USEP will either allow or block data access/transmission. USEP must be flexible so as to be updated when applicable (ie : migrations pertaining to privaly laws compliance updates, technical updates….)
The project will include various regulatory aspects specific to privacy/data security issues and current laws, benchmarking, and best practices implementations.
