PROPOSAL AT A GLANCE

UDL Runway
Subject:
Simply stated, the Objectives of UDL Runway! are to:
1) Create a proven standard for semantically enriching content for ubiquities adaptability
2) Positively and substantially impact reading, writing, listening, and speaking proficiency of target student groups
3) Notably increase effective integration of at risk student such as non-native speaking parents, immigrants, learning disabled and
4) Inspired and challenge gifted children , investing in all our people and all our future
5) Empower machine process such as data management and translation



PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Proposal Outline:

 1. UDL Runway specifications
Thorough and well-supported and tested methodologies and guidelines for enabling adaptability of content using semantics and access for adaptation of content to overcome barriers of cognition, both human and machine. The target audience of the guidelines is content creators and policy makers
Machine process will include translation and data manipulation and management, Human target audience will include marginalized groups such as people with cognitive disabilities, and migrants. End users will include people with dyslexia, autism and aphasia.

2. To pioneer methodologies and next generation assistive systems for adaptive content.

3. Public-private partnerships
Collaborations among local education, government, business, and service groups pull together much-needed resources that address school, student, parent, and community needs. Program goals and success criteria are established together, as are the areas of focus for evaluation.
Implementation is shared across stakeholders. This includes training of teachers, mentors, and community services

  • Running field test to measure learning outcomes, performing evaluation,
  • Creation of standards and dissemination
  • Integration with existing Learning platforms
