Modern information technology world evolves. Word processors are no longer of interest, unlike reliable speaker independent speech-to-text systems, for instance. Most basic tasks for dealing with information are well known subjects - such as coding algortithms according to the spec, making databases etc. For the basic needs of the coprporate and end-user needs most software it written and exists as components.

The area which is emerging in the last decade and poorly covered by the avarage academic courses in the IT-specialized educational institutions - is the area of intellectual computations, which include the such distinct subjects as pattern recognition, neural networks, robotics, data mining, biometry, etc.

This area lacks interactive examples, best practices, online test databases, multimedia objects. It's more difficult to cover such areas in the distant regions, where there are no appropriate qualified instructors. So there is a great need in the library of e-learning content, such as interactive simulations, tutorial flash animations, bank of test questions on this subject.

The project goal is to collect the basic, key, most important knowlege in the area of interactive computations and make the corresponding library of e-learning content that can be made available to general audience to keep people familiar with the latest advances in the Informational Technology of the world that penetrates to every life of the modern citizens.

Such course (or it's basic leve) would be useful for non-technically minded people as well.  Fingertips recognition for building areas access, the properties of the anti-spam software based on the intellectual algorithms, home robots - such technologies enter our life and most people must know real truth about this subject. People should know what they should and what they should not expect from such systems, that will help people to tell malfunctioninig from a "normal error rate" and in some cases might help people fight for their human rights.

The project will take the following steps:

(a) requirements-providing-Parnters specify the needs in the e-learning multimedia components, courseware structures, table of contents, etc

(b) selected knowlege-providing-Partners create scenarios for the e-learning components

(c) vendor-Parnters do the filming, coding of the scenarios

(d) e-learning specialist assemble the work into the  web-system

expertise in the subject and knowlege of the key, basic needs that could be a high-level requirements for the libarary objects

PROFILE 1. Form high-level requirements for the corresponding industry or social group (target audience)

PROFILE 2. Create scenarios of the interactive content objects, such as role-games, interactive simulations, tests

PROFILE 3. Industry or Social organizations who need such courses to train their people, ready to test the course and provide the feedback for improvements

- Large Industry or Social organization whos personel must be trained for biometric technologies

- Academic (or commercial) institutions with expertise on the subject to be able to create scenarios for the library objects
