Proposal Outline:
iLTL Project aims to develop:
• The implementation of a cooperation platform between shippers in different industries
and carriers in different modes, and that dynamically provides the shippers and
carriers with the optimum route and the most suitable selection of modes for consignments.
• The implementation of a RFID based communication infrastructure.
• Integration of carriers into existing supply-chains.
• The provision of a freight transport IT architecture which is safer, more secure,
efficient and environment-friendly with intermodal logistics and dynamic optimum route generation.
• The dynamic discovery of carriers and interoperating with them automatically

- Two end-user partners in logistics domain in different modes (For example, one in rail transport and one in sea/inland water transport) and an end user involved in shunting operations along a transport chain to provide the system requirements and to deploy the pilot applications
- One research partner or SME having expertise on RFID and/or sensor technologies to provide tracking and tracing applications
- One research or SME partner having expertise on digital maps and GNSS (EGNOS/Galileo) to provide tracking and tracing applications
