Information day for the 5th call for in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the 7th EU Framework Programme.
The call is expected to start at the end of July with a budget of 722 million Euros. The Information day will have an “enlarged Europe” focus, enabling networking with representatives from four EU 12 countries, allowing proposers to use the potential of an enlarged Europe.
Programme topics:
- Call 5 overview and updated work programme 2009-2010
- Changes to the work programme:
- Reacting to the European Economic Recovery Plan, the European Commission (EC) introduced 3 new topics for the Work Programme 2009-2010:
- Smart Factories: ICT for agile and environmentally friendly manufacturing
- ICT for energy-efficient buildings and spaces of public use
- ICT for the Fully Electric Vehicle - Thematic talks introducing the open challenges in Call 5, such as „Future Internet“, „Micro- Nanoelectronics“, „Photonics“, „Technology-Enhanced Learning“ and „Future and Emerging Technologies“.
- „Enlarged Europe“ focus:
A major programme topic is the active participation of the National Contact Points (NCPs) from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia. They will be presenting keyplayers and project ideas from their respective country.
Furthermore potential proposers will have the opportunity to present their project ideas / skills in a „Speaker’s Corner“ within a three minute presentation. You will find the PPT-template under downloads. Use this excellent chance and send us your project idea until the 25th of June 2009 to mailto:juergen.rattenberger@ffg.at (please note: max. 10 speakers).

The event will conclude with a networking-buffet, offering you the possibility to exchange your ideas with the NCPs from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia or with other proposers present.
