The idea of the conference is: bring together scientists and engineers from different fields (optics, atomic and molecular physics, solid state physics, computer science) which actively contribute to the field of Quantum Optics and Quantum information.
This International Conference is organized by Lithuanian Physical Society, Belarussian Physical Society, Lithuanian Academy of Sciences and National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will be held on September 20-23, 2008, in the conference center of the "Reval Hotel Lietuva" located in the city of Vilnius.
The traditional style for this Conference is the oral presentations followed by rather informal discussions, with one of conference evenings being usually devoted to the poster session. This International Conference will be the next one of a series of very successful meetings that were held in Minsk during the last 20 years.
If you have joint projects with quantum optics and quantum information scientists in the FSU or plan to start such an activity, it is a good chance to choose this event for your local meeting with colleagues.
